By bus:
Bus routes 38A, 331, 383, 384, 390, 907 from Hertford, Stevenage, Cheshunt and Buntingford stop next to the museum.

By train:
Ware has frequent train services between London Liverpool St and Hertford East.

Ware Museum is a 10 minute walk from Ware train station
By bike
There are no bicycle racks at Ware Museum but you may leave your bike in the garden.
Ware Museum cannot take any responsibility for damage of theft of bikes left on-site.
By car
Ware is approximately 5 minutes by car from the A10 and 20 minutes from the A1.
There is no on-site parking, but the nearest pay-and-display car park is a 3 minute walk away at Burgage Lane. A full list of public car parks in the town can be found here: Travel and Parking – Ware Town Council
Access
The main museum galleries are on ground level and there is step-free access throughout. The World War II Command Centre is accessed from inside the museum via a short flight of steps but can also be accessed step-free via the museum garden.
Display information is provided in large print and we can provide a magnifying glass and sheet magnifier.
The nearest Changing Places toilet is located at Wodson Park Sports Centre.
Assistance dogs are welcome in the museum and we can provide a bowl of drinking water.

The museum’s gift shop sells a range of Ware-themed souvenirs, books about Ware and other local places of interest, stationery, toys and pocket money gifts.
Families
Families and children are very welcome in the museum. There are lots of interesting spaces to explore and hands-on activities to try.
Group & school visits
