Peeking out from the greenery in the museum garden can be found a small bronze sculpture.

Leaf Man is one of 31 sculptures made by a class of 7 and 8 year old children from St John the Baptist Primary School in Amwell. Located close to rivers and waterways, each sculpture has been designed in response to the natural habitat or local history, and informed by the materials and methods used by Henry Moore, who lived and worked in nearby Perry Green.

Together they form the Chadwell Way Sculpture Trail, a five mile trail around Great Amwell, Ware, Hertford and King’s Meads.
