Join us during the 2026 October Half Term holidays for fun, hands-on family activities.

Tuesday 27 October: Romans!

Includes: Make your own Roman shield or sword, decorate your own crown or Centurion’s helmet, dress up as a Roman, Roman mosaics, finger puppets and colouring in.

Wednesday 28 October: Tudor Day

To coincide with the new exhibition.

Tudor Day includes: Making paper ‘stained glass’ windows and Tudor designs out of clay, inspired by the Great Bed.

Event details

Time: Drop in between 11:00am and 3:00pm (Last Admission: 2:30PM)

Cost: £3 per child, per session

Age range: Activities are suitable for children aged 4–12.

Colouring activities will also be available for younger visitors.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
