Marking this special milestone, two temporary exhibitions explore the Museum’s journey from its humble beginnings in 1986 to the present day. Discover the local people and dedicated volunteers who have shaped the Museum over the years, and the fascinating stories its collection of more than 24,000 objects tells about Ware and its community.

From archaeological discoveries and early displays to the arrival of the Great Bed of Ware in 2012, the exhibitions highlight key moments in the Museum’s history. Visitors can also explore a selection of intriguing objects, personal possessions and local treasures that offer a glimpse into the lives of Ware’s residents, past and present.
